I am a passionate photographer!

My love of photography goes back to the early 1980's. My earliest cameras included an instamatic-Polaroid, an over sized spy-camera, and a variety of Canon SLR's.

I shoot with a Canon EOS 50D and a full range of modern equipment.

I am completely self taught.

This means I am always seeking and learning new ways to improve upon my ability, thus I have no preconceived notions about the perfect way to capture an image: I capture scenes the way I like them, not just because the tutorials say what looks best.

My landscapes, heritage & modern architecture, abstracts, textures and macro botany are all available to buy.

Why do I take photographs?

I won't deny that photography is my escape from the real world. Wherever I am, I like to walk-alone to enjoy the ambience of a location.

I have been passionate about photography since my early teenage years.

Back then I shot landscapes, architecture, abstracts, plus pets, working animals and native birds. Now I tend to shoot mostly abstracts and landscapes, and have moved into portraits, products and the occasional event.

Whenever I hold a camera, the world suddenly changes into a series of moments, each wanting to be captured in its own unique way.

What I enjoy most is finding the perfect place and angle to capture either the whole moment or in a series of shots that tell the story. Being able to capture an image that tells a thousand-words is my goal.

Between searching for unique ways to capture the Australian landscape and discovering new ways to display the way I see the world, I meticulously focus into producing an image that will look good on multiple mediums.

Especially when I am trekking around Kangaroo Island, or along the South East townships of South Australia.
